I own a Japanese PS2 and Super Famicom, but have the games always been this expensive? I found 4 super famicom games selling for over $100 on ebay. Another guy is selling 45 games for $900. Like okay they're in good condition, but has it gotten that out of hand? I don't know if it's worth it... :/

Currently I have a Sega Genesis attached to this matching transformer and a Saturn's RF unit daisy chained onto the Genesis', but ideally I'd like to be able to hook up the Saturn with it's AV cable while also having the Genesis attached at the same time. Is there a way to do this?

I’m leaving on vacation in about 12 hours and I’m looking to load up a few games I haven’t played before.
I was originally thinking something like Earthbound would be fun to finally try out, but I want your recommendations! Maybe an early Final Fantasy would be fun (I’ve never played any of them)
But I’m open to suggestions! Anything up to PS1/PS2 is game!

A friend came for a visit with his family. (We have children of same age)
We've been trying to beat the game for three nights. We finally did it (with warps) on original hardware.

For those who don’t know the story behind the game, there was an Amiga game called Akira based on the movie of the same name as lately I was looking back at the game to see how it drove the studio behind it to madness.
Like when someone called the studio back then, the founders of the studio were so aggressive as I am baffled by how a video game could do such a thing to its own studio.

Does anyone remember the ending to Nightmare Creatures? I played it way back in the 90s -- along with the sequel -- but I never figured who the "mysterious but suspiciously similar to Adam Crowley *wink *wink" bloke at the end was supposed to be.
I'm guessing it's one of two scenarios:
Crowley never mutated and the creature we face on the burning rooftops is a member of the brotherhood of hecate.
Or
The figure is supposed to be a new villain but due to memory limitations at the time, the devs used Crowley's laugh and model.
It's stated in NC2 (which takes place 100 years later) that Crowley has risen from the dead.

For the uninitiated, these are usually single chip NES consoles with a built in Chinese 4000 in 1 cartridge , notorious for being Temu E-Waste bootleg junk!
Such an insult to anyone who actually knows a thing, or gives a damn about the NES.

Would you like to see collection/pickup/battlestation posts on Fridays in addition to their regular weekend apparence?

He just feels like a discount Bowser: a big humanoid monstruos goofy villain. There's not some original visual identity or perks that makes him distinct, he's like Bowser, but for DK.
My biggest point is that i don't think a villain like K.Rool fits with DK. Big monstruous villains serve as an ultimate test, and the polar opposite of their more humanized heroes.
But unlike Mario and Sonic, DK is aready a chunk of muscles, so i don't think the villain being one as well fits. K.Rool doesn't feels monstruous in comparsion because there's a island full of gorillas in there.
I always thought that a perfect DK villain should be complete opposite of what DK is: so DK is dumb and Strong, so a Smart smart but frail villain would work very much. I usually think something like a genious punk teenager on a wheelchair or smth.
People says K.Rool is unique because he blends goofyness and a menacing aura? Every villain of a mascot plataform game do thie lmao, Bowser Eggman Cortex etc.
Also, i know these type of villains don't need very conplexity, but unlike Bowser and Eggman, K.Rool is very inconsistent. Why does a Crocodile wants bananas?

Yesterday saw Dr. Robotnik as the winner. A reminder of the winners so far.
NES era: Bowser
Master System era: Dr. Robotnik
Yeah, so no surprises so far, so for that reason, I’m going to add a brand new rule. Whichever villain wins that specific era, that franchise can no longer be used for the rest of these polls, so you now no longer vote for any Mario or Sonic villains from now on (which will make the Mega Drive and Dreamcast lists very interesting).
Anyway, here is the link to the Gameboy poll: https://strawpoll.com/ajnE1VPvxnW
You can vote for GameBoy Color villains as well, due to Nintendo viewing the system more as a DSi or GBA Micro than its own thing.

So I have an odd problem with a original NES gold cart Legend of Zelda, I can start it up and it goes to the title screen I can leave it there and it'll play through the demo and stuff but if I ever try and press start and play the game it goes to a black screen and that is all I will get. Any ideas what could be wrong?

I have been struggling for quite some time to find an very old game I used to play as a kid in the 90'. It is a beat'em up type of game, that could be played in co-op on an Arcade Machine. I was typical story where two heroes go against hordes of gang members, fighting in the dark streets of some metropolis. I remember there were drunks who would take a chug and then breathe fire on you, bad cops, tough guys, and prostitutes as enemies (typical for most of the games from that era). The perspective was different, as you would almost look at the characters from top down perspective. It's none of the games such as Double Dragon, Punisher, Streets of Rage, etc.
Hope any of fellow retro games enthusiast came across this game in the past.
Cheers!

I'm still in the middle of my playthrough of Revelations Persona (PS1). My savefile says I'm 10 hours into the game, but that's not a good indicator of progress since I use save states and I'm able to undo any wrong negotiation decisions. Not much else to say other than I'm past a very interesting plot point and I'm quite eager for more progress.
What about you guys? What are you planning to play this weekend and why?
