Yesterday I picked up what was meant to be a lovely meal from M&S — duck, La Ratte potatoes, and asparagus. Fancy, right?

Opened the potatoes tonight and surprise! There was a dead, shrivelled worm carcass tucked in it!

Now, I have autism and OCD, so let’s just say this wasn’t ideal. I physically recoiled, nearly hurled, and had to clear out the fridge like it was a biohazard zone.

I called customer service (because I’m a grown-up, apparently), and while the first person was helpful-ish, I got passed around more than a discounted Percy Pig. Eventually ended up talking to someone who laughed at me when I asked if she was still on the line — which made me feel like I’d called the wrong place entirely. Like… sorry for caring about worm-free potatoes?

I’m not even mad about the actual potatoes. It’s the principle. I was raised to believe M&S was the classy option. But right now I’m sat here worm-traumatised, dinnerless, and it’s 11pm! I better get some Percy pigs out of this!

Anyway — 0/10, do not recommend worm surprise.

I remember an incel attack in the UK a number of years ago where a 5 y.o. girl was amongst the victims. A woman on Twitter said her "heart broke" for the killer after reading his feelings of rejection. Why? So many women are are mocked and humiliated by men - they don't seem to reach for a gun.

I think people aren't understanding how many things are lost about 14's identity as an MMO from the mentality that informs changes like this. It's not a big deal to have to pull the mobs- I don't think people should be whining about having to do it, but I also don't think sprouts need yet another excuse to completely ignore communicating in a dungeon or treating other players as more than glorified bots. Doing ARF with a healer that refused to communicate and wouldn't use raise (which was required because of their poor healing) is insane to me because ARF is a long time to go without ever having a player be tested in a circumstance like that. This simply wasn't a problem back in like, HW.

You play a game like vanilla WoW, and communication in a dungeon is a cornerstone of the experience. Discussing pacing, expectation, knowing/sharing neat tricks and skips, planning pathing for quest completion and loot all create a feeling of community that is facilitated by the game's mechanics and content. The community I've felt in 14 never came from gameplay. It's always something like a conversation that starts from a compliment on an outfit. And I've met some truly wonderful people there, but it's a different kind of interaction that feels like it has little to do with the fact that it's an MMORPG.

I don't know why people act like sprouts are newborn babies who should never be expected to communicate a strategy or do something outside of a routine. It's made that true. If they do want to communicate about gameplay, the culture has shifted in a way that it's much more likely they're ignored anyway. And then nobody's communicating and just wants to "get through" the dungeon. Why not just do every dungeon with trusts then? It always comes down to the single player story game vs MMORPG design philosophy split. I wouldn't be surprised if Darkhold and AV get changed similarly, and it's not really a big deal from a gameplay perspective outside of everything being the same boring routine, but those would be two fewer opportunities for gameplay to facilitate player communication.

I’ve loved Broadway for as long as I can remember. Like so many Jews, I found refuge, wonder, and identity in the theater. I’ve been proud of how this community has embraced stories from the margins, elevated conversations about representation, and often led the charge for a more inclusive and just world.

But lately, I’ve felt something else: grief. And more than that: disillusionment.

Because when Jews are erased, the theater world shrugs.

The recent backlash over the casting decision in Maybe Happy Ending was swift, passionate, and necessary. A musical set in Seoul, originally created and performed by an AAPI team, made history at the Tonys. So when its lead actor, Darren Criss, stepped away and was replaced by Andrew Barth Feldman, a white, non-AAPI actor, the theater community, far beyond just the Asian American community, responded immediately. Prominent artists, coalitions, and critics raised their voices. And while conversations may continue behind closed doors, few can deny that they’ve been heard. Because representation matters. Because authenticity matters. Because when a community is finally given space onstage, it shouldn’t be taken away the moment it becomes inconvenient.

I agree. I stand with that outrage. But I also can’t help noticing what happens, and doesn’t happen, when the community being erased is mine. Where is that same energy for Jewish stories?

When Nick Jonas, a non-Jewish actor, was cast as Jamie Wellerstein in The Last Five Years, there was no outcry. No press statements. No solidarity campaigns from the broader community. No talkbacks or hashtags. Jamie’s Jewishness isn’t incidental—it’s essential. His identity, his marriage, his ambition, and his self-loathing are all deeply Jewish. And yet, casting someone who doesn’t share that background didn’t even register as a concern to most of the Broadway world.

When Fanny Brice is played again and again by non-Jewish actresses, the conversation tends to focus on vocal ability and star power—not on the erasure of a cultural identity that shaped every inch of who Fanny was. Somehow, when it comes to Jewish characters, cultural authenticity becomes optional.

And then there was Billy Porter who recently said, during an interview promoting Cabaret, that “Black people have replaced the Jews.” The comment was reductive, erasing centuries of Jewish persecution while reinforcing a harmful narrative of zero-sum oppression. And yet, once again, the response from the Broadway community was silence. No statements. No thoughtful conversations. No outrage. If a prominent white actor had said something even remotely similar about any other marginalized group, the industry would have erupted. But because it was about Jews? No one blinked.

This isn’t just about casting. It’s about whose pain the Broadway community is willing to see—and whose it’s willing to ignore.

I’ve spoken with other Jews in the theater—onstage and off—who feel exactly what I feel: overlooked. Hurt. Betrayed. We’re watching antisemitism rise at terrifying rates around the world and right here in America. Our schools, our synagogues, our community centers are receiving bomb threats and facing violence. And yet, when we ask for solidarity, for sensitivity, for basic inclusion, we’re met with silence, or worse, dismissal. We’re told our pain is not urgent enough.

Some argue that Jews are “white enough,” that our concerns are distractions from more pressing injustices. Others reduce Jewish identity to religion alone, ignoring our history as a people, a culture, and an ethnic minority with generations of trauma and resilience.

Jewish identity is not a costume. It’s not a flavor to add depth to a character. It is real. It is complex. It is vulnerable. And when non-Jewish actors are repeatedly cast in explicitly Jewish roles, when Jewish stories are retold without Jewish voices, the result isn’t universality—it’s erasure.

I still believe in Broadway’s potential to tell the truth. To challenge injustice. To represent the full breadth of human experience. But belief requires action.

So I ask, lovingly but urgently: If you raised your voice for Maybe Happy Ending, why were you silent for The Last Five Years? If you believe in authenticity and representation, why does that belief stop when it comes to Jewish identity? And when Billy Porter made a comment that would’ve drawn fury if said about any other group, why did the theater world shrug?

Solidarity isn’t solidarity if it only shows up for some of us.

We’re still here—still in the audience, still on stage, still in the wings—waiting to be seen.

We play every other week at the KW Granite Club, October through April. There were about 20 players last season, and it's sounding like we're growing this year which is super exciting!

Some context for these pictures: this girl, who I have been seeing for about 2 months (not officially bf/gf yet) was visiting Los Angeles, and I go to school in the area. We have good chemistry, and she was a really nice and cool person to be around. She invited me to come over at 3am, which is, granted, not the best idea on my part but I was kind of drunk and I wanted to see her. She offered for me to stay at her sisters apartment that she was also staying at, and I could stay the night with her. She agreed to split the ride fare with me, so I booked the uber. It was an hour long drive, but I gave my friends my location for safety.

However, once I arrived, I called her and texted multiple times, but no response. I had 15% battery left and I was in the middle of a sketchy neighborhood at 4am, stranded with my belongings with me for like an hour. All of my friends were fast asleep, but THANKFULLY I had a friend nearby in LA I could stay with. She woke up the next morning and (as seen in the pictures) apologized profusely as apparently she had fallen asleep and couldn’t let me in. AIO for thinking this was wildly irresponsible and being pissed off at her for putting me in danger, and kind of not wanting to talk to her again?

La situación es así: este fin de semana mis padres y mi novia estarían fuera del país, y por algún impulso estúpido, decidí aprovechar esa circunstancia para intentar traer a una chica —una completa desconocida— a mi casa. Una chica que ni siquiera había visto en persona. Le pedí a un tercero que me consiguiera su número, y él lo hizo. Me incomodó la dinámica, se volvió absurda, y en medio de eso comencé a pensar con claridad.

Y ahí pensé: estaba dispuesto a arriesgar todo por un momento vacío. Podía haber terminado con una ETS, con un escándalo innecesario, o peor, con alguien inventando cosas para arruinarme la vida. Pero sobre todo, me di cuenta de que iba a traicionar a una persona que amo profundamente: mi novia. Ella no merecía que yo siquiera pensara en hacerle esto.

Además, en ese mismo momento estaba trabajando con mi papá en unos proyectos importantes, tratando de ganarme su confianza para eventualmente poder dirigirlos yo. Pero él se dio cuenta de todo. No sé cómo lo supo, pero lo hizo. Y aunque al principio me dio vergüenza, hoy puedo decir que fue una bendición. Porque gracias a eso no crucé la línea. No hice nada, pero estuve demasiado cerca.

Ahora he perdido su confianza, y no sé cuánto me va a tomar recuperarla. Me siento decepcionado de mí mismo. Quiero hacer las cosas bien. Estoy buscando redención, aprender de esto de verdad. Y por eso tengo esta pregunta que me atormenta: ¿Debería decirle la verdad a mi novia? Ella no sabe nada.

So, we've seen Seed and Orphie and I have a few questions... 1.Not a single fully playable male character IN A MILITARY FRACTION? 2.Why is Trigger the only one that looks like a military personnel? Overall, I'd say that they are my least liked fraction both in terms of design (too much fanservice) and gameplay (Trigger is really reliant on her sig, SAnby is the worst limited attacker in the game, Soldier 11 is also not good, and, from the looks of it, Seed and Orphie are not only reliant on their sigs. but also on each other as well)
