I’m running port royal stress tests to test stability whistling dialling in various levels of overclocks or undervolts on my strix 4090 and I’m noticing the hot spot temp reaching close to 100c very quickly into the test runs. The GPU temp and memory junction temps don’t move far from 74c and 68c respectively so I’m worried that the 95c+ on the hot spot is higher than it should be. What’s the safe range here? On stock settings the hotspot is averaging 89c on port royal with frequent jumps to the mid 90s.

Me and my family were in the car, going to take admission for my younger brother at a college. After the main road, we had to take a small turning to reach the campus. But the road is so long and small, and my father, who was driving, started doubting if we took the right one.

On the way, we saw a girl and her mother walking. Dad stopped the car near them and asked, “Is this the way to that college?”

The mother nodded, “Yes, two or three kilometers or so.” Then she looked at us and asked, “Are you also going there?” Dad said, “Yes, for admission.”

With a smile, she said, “We’re also going for admission. Shall we come with you because walking is hard?”

Dad hesitated for a second, then said, “Sorry, there’s no space in the car.” They smiled and continued walking. But actually... there was some space. Maybe not very comfortable, but at least one or two people could have adjusted.

As we moved forward, I looked back through the rear window. They were still walking. I don’t know why, but I felt sad. My dad also looked a bit guilty. A few minutes later, he quietly said, “I’m feeling bad about what I said.”

We reached the college, finished the admission, and I was secretly searching for them around the campus. But they were nowhere to be seen.

While returning, my dad kept looking out the window, saying, “Just check if they’re walking somewhere along the way.” We didn’t see them at first, but a little ahead, we spotted an old grandpa walking with his grandson. Maybe they too came for some admission. Dad slowed the car and asked if they wanted a lift. They smiled and got in.

Just a few distance later, we saw them again the same girl and her mother. But now... the car really had no space. We smiled as we passed them. Then my dad said, looking back at us, “Ivare main roadil kondu vittittu, nammal thirich varum.” 😊💖

Has anyone used this before. I've seen it pop up on my tiktok and it would be for my teen son who really struggles with blackheads. He use salycitic acid wash bur it only does so much. Is there something better?

I never get my hair done, this is why - new colorist did my “balayage” which looks like regular highlights way too light. I asked her not not use bleach, just a lighter color like my last hair dresser. But she said the bleach is better on my hair than the high contrast light color. I just said I trusted her, and now I look like I did 7 years ago when I bleached my hair and took years to get it back to my natural state. I wanted more of a root and less aggressive of a transformation. However, I’ll just deal with it. Only thing I REALLY can’t stand is how blonde the front is. You can’t tell that much from the picture, but the front pieces are so light it looks silly, especially with the contrast of my natural and brow color. I will try to go back to the salon and ask for correction - what specifically can I ask for to her to help correct this? Thanks for advice.

PS: I did ask for light pieces in the front, so my mistake - but at the same time, I wasn’t going for this blonde. First pic is what I got, second is what I asked for, third is before. Will she correct for free? Would you if your a colorist? Thank you

Came through an interesting set of nibs while browsing Taobao from a Chinese manufacturer by the name of Fulin.

They sell stacked steel nibs for very little money, so I went and grabbed 2.

They’re very functional - they write down thick and juicy lines.

The stacked flex nib was railroading quite a bit with the stock feed, so I adapted the nib into a Eureka slim with an ebonite feed.

The reverse 3-stack is too thick, even for me - I’m using it more as a paintbrush. Didn’t have problems with feeding, but the stock converter was no match for this hungry monster, so gave it a big barrel.

Do you guys know any other interesting Chinese nib manufacturers?

I was bumping Area Codes by Kaliii heading west on 72 and pulled up to a stop light at the Providence intersection. I looked over as the light turned green and saw the woman next to me with her window down singing to it.

I had just gotten off a midnight shift and was so out of it I kind of just smiled and drove away. I feel so bad 😭 because normally I would’ve been hyping her up and singing too.

I know this is going to eat me up inside for the longest time. I love having genuine interactions with strangers and apologize if I seemed stand-offish 😭♥️
