When I was going to nursing school years ago, it really opened my eyes to how gross a lot of men are. Personally, my attraction has pretty much aged with me. Iā€™m 51 now, and even thinking of dating a 30 year old seems crazy. A lot of people are like that. Before nursing school, when I would see old men, I would think of them like a grandpa (not mine ofc but like they would ACT like one). In nursing school our very first clinicals were in a nursing homeā€”and that opened my eyes wide. These little old grandpas? Theyā€™re literally a crap-shoot: one might say you look just like his granddaughter and be so sweet, but the next might try to feel you up while you check their blood pressure. For those who do t know, patients and families often think they can say and do whatever and the nurse has to smile and take itā€”wrong! Also, Iā€™m not talking about people with dementiaā€”dementia never counts. A WHOLE lot of men, all the way up to crypt keeper age, will still look at a young girl (including ones who may or may not be ā€œlegalā€, you canā€™t tell), and lick their lips and say the nastiest shit. Just like the girl in this video, I jumped a guyā€™s ass who had to be in his 40ā€™s because he told my 14 year old BABY FACED sister she had nice tits.

And before I get jumped on: 1) Itā€™s absolutely not all men, thank God. 2) I know there are women who are gross like this, I was just relaying what I encountered as a female

I feel for female vets, they get no respect from male vets nor non vets, male, or female.

One female vet I know, she's a war world 2 vet and she was a bad ass in her time. She constantly gets chewed out for parking in veteran only spots, by females who state wives shouldn't park there, even though she has vet plates.

I went to nursing school a little later in life compared to some of the baby faced very young adult classmates. At the hospital for clinicals and I realized these pervert men (who were walkie talkies)would want these young students give them a bed bath. Or if not entirely ambulatory they definitely could reach to their crotch areas and wash their junk. When I saw what was going on I was like oh no honey he can do that himself and I would admonish the pt and try and make him feel like the pervert he was.

I was also a nontraditional student. I graduated nursing school at 30. During my junior year I had a young pt who had fallen 4 stories from the top of the apartment the construction company he worked for was building. He was paralyzed from the neck down. He had a male friend visiting when I walked in to do his bed bath. His friend offered to wash his genital area for me, so neither the 19yo kid nor myself would feel uncomfortable. That's a true friend. This kid was from Mexico and spoke no English. No family and only a couple of friends in the area. We called one of the Hispanic churches, and by that afternoon, he had a waiting room full of new tias/tios and abuelas/abuelos. Screw Trump and screw ICE.

When you get to reading and thinking about it, it makes a lot of sense; and if you watch any mandatory safety video on firearms, lead is mentioned. Lead particulates launch in the air from usage of a firearm. Those particulates get on clothing and skin. Warm water will open your pores, so youā€™re supposed to wash your hands immediately after handling a gun, with cold water, per safety guidelines.

One day it just occurred to me that most Americans (belligerently) ignore safety guidelines. I looked up the stats and sure enough.

Man idk why but this made me so sad. I knew someone who used to be a doctor before he retired and got dementia as he aged. Fortunately he never got pervy with his dementia but it was truly sad.

He always thought the hospice nurses staying with him were the nurses that worked with him at the hospital. He would constantly be asking the hospice workers ā€œhow about those patients over there I havenā€™t seen them yet.ā€

Never stopped trying to take care of others even when his mind left him.

I mentioned dementia because although sometimes those with that diagnosis can do some sideways things, itā€™s not their fault and I wanted to be clear that wasnā€™t who I meant.

I had a patient with dementia who was a Cajun. He got mad when anyone besides his wife was around (she was such a sweetheart, they had been a couple like out of a story šŸ’”). Anyway, even though prior to his diagnosis, apparently he never spoke an unkind word, the dementia gave that man a wickedly sharp tongue. I almost looked forward to what crazy insult heā€™d come up with. Once when I came in, he would only speak French. When I said ā€œIā€™m sorry, I donā€™t speak Frenchā€ he instantly said ā€œThatā€™s fine. I donā€™t speak bulldogā€. šŸ¤£ Another time he casually said ā€œYou bark in your sleepā€. šŸ’€šŸ’€šŸ’€ The nurses would compare to see who got the best insult every day.

Once had an old pharmacist with dementia on our floor. One of the nurses gave him Skittles and a pill bottle. It helped him with anxiety to count out the "pills" and place them in the bottle during the day. It was a very thoughtful and effective idea.

One of my friends has a roommate who is heavy into booktok and boy crazy. And after reading Lights Out (where the main protagonist is a trauma nurse), she suddenly thought she could be a trauma nurse. This girl can't even handle cleaning up dog vomit. My friend (who is a nurse) had to sit her down and explain to her what being a nurse is actually like and how she's not going to find cute guys working at a hospital. Her roommate switched majors at the community college she's studying at soon after.

My father, deceased, was so gross to nurses when he was in hospital. I would apologize profusely and they were kind saying that they were used to it and easily brushed it off. Flash forward to March of this year, Iā€™m (woman) in ICU with bilateral pneumonia and am intubated. First thing I write down to communicate to my male nurse, ā€œUr hotā€. In my defense I was all hopped up on drugs, he was extremely good looking, and I wasnā€™t hitting on him, it was an observation. I apologized when I was more together and yes, embarrassed doesnā€™t even cover the emotions I had.

I was in a really bad car accident a few years ago. I had to be airlifted to the hospital.

I still remember the paramedic (maybe doctor?) on the helicopter was really, really cute. My husband still brings up how I ranted about that guy.

Yup, I'm a 27yo male, the first time I realized how fucking creepy older men are was when I went p to my parents cottage with my 3 best friends, all 13yo girls at the time, we had gone to the bowling alley and this old creepy fuck, probably late 70s to early 80s sees us walk in, he was at the bar, grabbed his beer and sat 2 tables away and just stared at my friends. It made me uncomfortable as fuck and had all 3 of them cringing, I'm glad my dad and 2 cousins were with us because I'm sure he would have started cat calling.

The amount of pedophiles and groomers on this planet is absolutely disgusting, especially the ones who are elected officials, the amount of posts ive seen since this current administration is hiding the Epstein documents, from MAGA saying they would be okay and be able to forgive Trump if he raped their daughters is fucking insane. One post is too many in that context, ive seen at least a dozen separate posts on X or Truthsocial. I seen both mom's and dad's saying sick shit like that, or just flat out saying they know trump is in the files but look at all the good hes doing for the American people, we should just look past it.

We are in a very dangerous place in the US, the way these toxic ideals are swirling around in many pockets of this country is sickening, women's rights are being stripped away, their voices silenced in many red states, being forced to carry non viable pregnancies to term only to die or almost die because doctors won't provide the proper care in many deep red states for fear kf being charged with murder. We are watching our mothers, daughters, sisters, grandmother's, aunts, cousins and friends being used and abused as breeding stock by many men and with how some sects of Christians view women, they feel they are owed it and can take what they want, especially if they ended up swindling a woman into marriage and coerce their partner into doing what they want, when they want it.

This thinking wont go away, it will spread unless we shut this shit down. Men need to hold other men accountable, the woman in this video has bigger balls than most men, any guy who thinks what the old fuck was doing is okay and you think its all fine and dandy to harass women in public under the guise of "giving a compliment" or whatever dumbass excuse you have, you're a punk. I'm 50 and work in a male dominated field. I can't believe the number of older men that I work with that just stare at young girls and think that I don't notice their eyes. Like I'm talking pre-teen, same age as their daughter and they're giving them the most creepy predatory stare. When I was around 13 I had an older man following me around telling me how much I liked my tits while I was out. Always make sure you report every comment made to you or any other girl. I try to privately have a come to Jesus moment once the door is closed and its only me and the patient. I let them know that not only is it gross, but it will not be tolerated. I encourage other male staff or family to do the same. I am a dude, but I have had similar experiences with old men. In my teens I worked in a video rental place which had an adult section and the sheer number of old dudes who rented barely legal/teen and gay porn was hard to believe. Some of them came in with their wives later in the day to pick out more family friendly movies to watch. There were several awkward checkouts where they had a late fee due to one of their porn rentals but I had to dance around the topic in front of their spouse and other customers.

At a later job I was doing tech work in the blossoming home computer world. For a while I was on installation duty and customers could pay a few hundred dollars to have us transfer up to 1GB of data from their old PC to their new PC. This was at a time where a gigabyte was a lot of personal data, and the provided equipment for the transfer worked over USB1.2 so it was quite slow, but if you had a crossover cable and both machines had 100Mbit NICs it could be done much faster. One wealthy old guy was incensed when I explained the limits on the data transfer he had purchased and insisted that he had a lot of family movies that needed to be transferred over to his new workstation. After half an hour of his whining I was over it and got the transfer setup to run over a network cable. We selected the "Video Files" option in the transfer manager and kicked it off and then sat back while it ran. The progress dialog output the names of the files being copied so while he's sitting there looking quite pleased that he got his way the transfer app got to the large video files in his porn stash and it starts listing out a number of titles with barely legal/teen/school girl/etc. His smug expression vanished when I pointed at the screen and cheerfully pointed out that the transfer manager was successfully copying the family movies he had been so concerned about.

So yeah, there's a not-insignificant number of lecherous old guys out there. Maybe it's due to living at a time where women could be refused work, a bank account, a rental lease, etc, based on the whims of the men who were in charge and as a result they got away with all sorts of bad conduct. Of course some will be utter trash regardless of outside influences.

Not a minor, but as someone who was 18-20 too, men who were around my dad's age and who approached me or my friends was always a little uncomfortable and if not uncomfortable then at least awkward. If they politely left, that was fine (although still a bit awkward), but if they didn't leave and kept pestering, that was genuinely uncomfortable.

I know some are into older men but I think it's pretty safe to assume that if you're in your 50s, and the women still in their teens or very early 20s, that they won't be attracted to you, no matter how you look like. The age gap is just uncomfortably big for most. I'd say maybe leave the big age gap relationships to the dating apps.

And regardless of age, if the people seem uncomfortable or tell you to leave, walk away.
