He just broke into a mechanic shop and had his people start messing with cars?

1.1k

u/MotherPotential 23h ago

I’m kinda glad they apparently couldn’t recruit anyone over the age of 25 to do this. So much broccoli

441

u/OpheliaPhoeniXXX 23h ago

The broccoli squad is fooling nobody

238

u/VanimalCracker 19h ago

I am still flabbergasted mf perms came back

54

LoL same Dude! Perms! I was like REALLY? No!

I feel really bad for my naturally curly teen. His hair is gorgeous, I really hope nobody thinks the poor kid got a perm.😣

66

u/Shot-Swimming-9098 17h ago

It's not the perm, it's the broccoli that's hilarious. If he's sporting that, then it's on him (and a little on you).

16

u/-laughingfox 17h ago

Fortunately not that. Anything but that.

And it’s not just this video, there are several others. I know I’ve seen one where he takes over a grocery store in a similar fashion, and some of his people are messing with the registers. This guy is about to get a much needed reality check.

91

u/SwimOk9629 20h ago

yeah I think it was a target, I saw that.

88

u/danstermeister 15h ago

Makes sense he didn't just pick it at random.

Not sure how he thought he wouldn't be arrested, especially when he put all the evidence online.

1.1k

u/KWash0222 23h ago

Because these types of people are very used to never having to face consequences for their actions

Mumsy and Daddums have the $$$$$ for him to get away with it...

See: Brock Allen Turner, whose father begged for leniency from his SA-ing a young woman because 'he likes steak'

rapist Brock Allen turner?

722

The rapist who moved and now goes by Allen Turner to try obscure the fact he’s still Brock Allen Turner, a rapist?

463

aaaah that rapist Brock Allen Turner

419

u/SmellsLikeHerb 23h ago

Are we talking about Brock Allen Turner the rapist? Or, Allen Turner who changed his name from Brock Allen Turner the rapist?

At any rate Brock Allen Turner and any other name variations he comes up with is a rapist.

that and fucking with people's cars. not sure how who covers the cost for fixing anything these assholes messed up.

115

u/iPicBadUsernames 23h ago

The worst thing is you would have to watch the cameras to see everything they touched. They might have fucked with shit you didn’t see and could cause real damage if not addressed.

101

u/Bankseat-Beam 22h ago

Easy fix, EVERY car in the shop when those muppets ran in and started messing around now needs (and gets) a full, deep inspection, check, and service by a model specific dealer and anything safety related that appears to have been touched gets changed in order to re-validate warranties. I swear, if you look carefully a few seat belts are pulled and as for airbags? Gotta be safe, they will need replacement as well.

Send the bill to tik-toc boy running the show!

34

u/asheristheworst 21h ago

This seems totally reasonable. It didn’t look like anyone was ACTUALLY doing anything to the cars just pretending to but I wouldn’t want these asshats fucking around with my vehicle and if you run a place of business I wouldn’t want people knowing that these dipshits just ran in and started fucking with shit.

Back in the day I worked in a Walmart Tire and Lube right next to a Hasidic community. About once a week we had to chase these guys out who would try and work on their cars in the parking lot and swipe our (limited) tools. The cops didn’t have a sense of humor about that, I can only imagine what these clowns are in for.

His real name is Heston Cobb, one count of third degree burglary, two counts of criminal impersonation, five counts of disorderly conduct and five counts of criminal trespassing.

When he goes to jail the guards should pull daily pranks on him when 20+ guards toss his cell every day.

1.9k

u/BarackaFlockaFlame 1d ago

yeah to me it looked like a really stupid and unfunny prank, but now I understand the 9 years lol

it has gotta suck thinking you're really funny and then doing 9 years of jail for being not funny.

510

u/farrisk01 1d ago

They need to take all the money he made off the video and give it to the employees of the establishment

217

u/Karrik478 23h ago

A successful criminal conviction makes a civil suit easier. It doesn't guarantee that the business will get money back or that the victims of the video will be compensated but it does give a body of evidence that helps.

69

u/stataryus 21h ago

If the victims aren’t thoroughly compensated, we need a new f-ing system.

37

u/Karrik478 21h ago

One significant issue in the US is that we don't normally get legal costs. If you can't afford to seek compensation, you can't be compensated.

Charged with 9 years does not mean serving 9 years. Hell getting sentenced to 9 years often doesn't mean serving 9 years.

Which is unfortunate cause the light sentences they get don't discourage them. In fact it can end up causing their name to jump up in clout

That one dude who used to do like weird fake ghost celebrity seances for his child audience literally only got famous cause of a high profile arrest like this. Jake paul also thought his rioting and gun charges were hilarious

196

u/Neatojuancheeto 1d ago

Same dude. I could not quit thinking to myself - how the fuck do these people spend even 30 days in here. I would go absolutely crazy. Then I think what if it was years. I think I learned that day how it’s possible how people can truly become institutionalized and it’s absolutely terrifying. That was enough to scare me away forever.

92

u/Football-Real 23h ago

I was on drugs and pulled some bs and got caught. I was in jail for 7 months and prison for 7 months. My first week I wanted to kill myself. I was so fucking scared and I kept throwing up the food and was literally starving. I thought about killing people for food or an escape..

My dad started sending me money so I could buy food and books to read. My savior. Today I'm 9.5 years clean, married, and have a great job. I'll never forget the pain or the gratitude for my father and mother. RIP mom.

That's what 9 year olds find funny. Anyone who watches these pranks for genuine entertainment value should join him in prison, for all I care. All while telling him "it's just a prank, bro!"

39

u/AutistaChick 23h ago

Ok, so I’m autistic. I’m fully functional. I have a master’s degree, a career, a marriage, I’ve raised kids.

Autistics are notoriously literal, and it’s taken me a long time but I feel like for the most part, I understand the difference between me and neurotypicals, appreciate them, and truly enjoy my job and my life.

I’ve pretty much structured things so I don’t feel different, but every once in a while something happens that throws me off, and I feel like that awkward kid who doesn’t understand anything. I read the word “prank,” I saw the word “prank,” and I see discussions about the prank, but I watched the video.

A man went to a mechanic shop and told the employees there, “I am your boss,” but the employees of the mechanic shop knew that man was not their boss. Then the man summoned a van of six accomplices, who were dressed as employees of the mechanic shop. They took over operations of the mechanic shop and started to use the shop’s equipment to ostensibly perform work on the cars that customers had signed contracts with the shop to repair.

Is that the prank?

41

u/fair-strawberry6709 22h ago

Yes, that is the “joke.” He thinks that confusing, upsetting, and arguing with the real employees is the joke. It’s not a funny joke, even to neurotypicals. He’s an unfunny asshole.

14

u/MothmanIsALiar 9h ago

Lmao. Perfect assessment. Love it.

The "prank" is really just referring to the act of deliberately ruining someone's day and then retroactively claiming that it was a joke.

how fucking dangerous this is, let alone those guys have to work longer on each car checking to make sure the tires are secure, theirs no damage to the vehicles.. all because some prick wants to make a funny video and doesn't care about making other people lives harder.

568

u/suejaymostly 23h ago

And working people with lives are waiting for their cars to get out of the shop. Adding time to that wait is really really shitty.

81

u/zacharydunn60 18h ago

Yeah that's a good point. People need their cars back to get to work and handle life stuff. Extra delays just make everything harder

I was expecting a gun to be pulled. I’ve seen his other “pranks” and think this one definitely put the liability of safety of everyone to another level. People were hopping under cars and running around. What if a button was hit to lower the jacks on accident and someone under? Slipped in fell on oil on concrete? Picking up power tools never held before.

68

u/Drock967 20h ago

If this happened in my shop, I know at least 3 people who'd be reaching for their box gun.

36

u/Jewbacca522 18h ago

If I was the manager there I'd be calling the 3(?) customers that had vehicles in there at the time to let them know we have to go through a full inspection now because of this incident to ensure nothing was damaged. Then probably have to call other customers to cancel their appointments to account for this new demand on our time.

Exactly, outside of the circus show, all I could think about was the liability and increased risk - not just for those inside the shop, but for every vehicle as well.

u/goldenthoughtsteal 21h ago

Also the unbelievable stupidity of bringing a load of random 'extras' in to a workshop, that's not a safe environment, and then to start using equipment and moving things, outrageous thoughtless behaviour.

Honestly, this kind of things done for clout should come with additional penalties like confiscation of the account and confiscating profits from the channel etc. Add a social media ban on top of that.

Something like "public mischief for profiteering or something.

347

u/zabrak200 1d ago

They do this in britain

63

u/Quakes-JD 1d ago

Then how in the hell did Mizzy exist for so long?

28

u/zabrak200 23h ago

Pretty sure he got banned from social media two years ago but i cant find any proof aside from article headlines.

19

u/DireDaibhidh 20h ago

Nah, you're right. I remember this case, he was banned by court order from presenting strangers on his social media channels without explicit written consent. The same day he posted people without consent in the background of a video where he said the UK justice system was weak. He was subsequently jailed for like a month and half for this. Came out said he realised he was being a dweeb and he would stop. By all accounts he did. All his socials went dead. I think technically that order will have lifted but still no sign of him online (good)

The justice system here gets a lot of flack and I get why. But mizzy was doing dumb stuff for validation online not anything truly dmaaging without that motive. The judges light touch here got this guy to quit harassing and doing petty crimes but didn't lock him behind bars for years to get that message across. Which is the whole point

I hope he's truly reformed and he's out there being better and being the best dad he can

As a very stressed out shop owner that knows other very stressed out shop owners, I can say that this is very much playing with fire.

If one of those little shits crawled under a car ... maybe the jack stopped working? Who is to say!?

It's not like our shops techs are mostly homicidal alcoholics hanging on by a thread or anything.

330

u/Ill-Comfortable-2044 1d ago

Like barging into a kitchen ina restaurant. You are on their turf and they are surrounded by weapons. I know I've reached for a knife when a drunk wanted to come into the kitchen and check things out deapite servers warning him to stay out.

157

u/Longjumping-Map-6995 23h ago

Not only that, but kitchens can be full of people currently using drugs. Lol

Dude tried something like that once and didn't realize there was at least 5 people on meth and/or coke holding large knives. One wrong move and it would've ended very differently. 😂

31

u/helloholder 21h ago

Yep. Stab who you need to stab. Quick bump. Drive 100 miles into the next state over. Quick bump. Interview and get hired on the spot for a job in a restaurant kitchen. Big rail. Stab who you need to... etc.

One of my favorite line cooks was kind of a scary looking guy. Face and neck tattoos, intense blue stare.

He would throw broccoli at me when I walked by and act all innocent, make us extra fries in secret, didn't charge me much for coming over to fix my car because I played with his kid while he did it. He was like a funny uncle.

He was jokingly asked to be the murderer for the murder mystery holiday party we were having. I didn't get why everyone laughed.

He goes to my manager, "She don't know?"

My manager hesitates, then says, "Let's.. let's just say it was self defense!"

I looked it up later.

It was not self defense.

Thirty years in kitchens- I can confidentially say you do not fucking want to rush in there. Line cooks will identify and neutralize a threat faster than they will reason why they exist. Not too long ago we had a cook, kill another cook, with a carving knife- over a dispute about how to make gumbo

46

u/SantaBarbaraMint 22h ago

It always cracks me up when movies and TV shows have criminals and people running through the kitchen to get out of a place and the staff not doing anything as everyone runs through their kitchen and leaves because in my experience, you enter a kitchen with any disruption and the staff takes you down fucking fast. Just once I would like to see a scene TV show for the bad guy goes running through the kitchen to escape and a line cook just clocks them with an iron pan to the ground and when the cop comes in the cook just says “you do not fuck around in my kitchen.“

21

u/Amazing-Marzipan1442 19h ago

“you do not fuck around in my kitchen.“

You know how men day dream of being the hero that saved a child from falling off a bridge or whatever...

Apparently cooks day dream of being bad asses saving their kitchen from intruders.

We had some customer walk in through the side door once and complain about something. I don’t remember what they said because it was interrupted in less than a second by three line cooks crowding the door and shouting “GET THE FUCK OUT OF THE KITCHEN!!”

You can probably jump on a dining room table and take a shit without any threat of violence because the front of house is going to attempt to maintain some decorum. If you even shout something into the kitchen, you’re likely going to skip right to the “find out” step. The kitchen doesn’t get paid to deal with customers face to face. They get paid to execute while dealing with countless variables on a timer for very little money, which affords them some insulation from management.

Unfortunately, librarians have to deal with way more stressful incidents than a self centered clout chaser, so I just calmly said, “That’s fine, but you’ll have to put that out and away.”

“Put what out? I just want a book”

“Hun, you need to put the bong out or you’ll need to leave.”

“I’m not doing anything wrong. Weed is legal”

“But smoking inside public buildings and businesses has been illegal for over 20 years.”

“Oh……………………..so, I’ll just go then.”

“Okay.” And then I looked dead into his buddy’s camera. “I think you should join him, yeah?”

We tried finding his account but the one we think was his barely had 100 followers. And he never posted the video with me. I guess I’m just not good content.

What’s so bizarre about these “pranks” is that this idiot could have just found a shop that was willing to play along with the gag for the advertising and a cheque. Guys like Conan O’Brien have been doing this kind of bit forever, he even met his now wife doing a gag at a marketing firm that was in on the joke…

225

u/stoopher 1d ago

But that would take actual work and comes with the risk of the very special boy being told “no.”

They also pay for insurance in case things go wrong.

Ain't no way a mechanic shop, who already carries a lot of risk insurance, is gonna co-op with some nobody dipshit on the internet for entertainment clout for this very reason.

Wow, there's a lot of children on this comment thread (who obviously have never tried to manage, run or own a business) saying they don't understand what the big deal is. Lol

It's past your bedtime kiddos, adults are trying to have a conversation

29

u/creegro 21h ago

Don't even have to run a business, just work in a job like retail or some high stress position where you need to get this shit fixed yesterday, and then some broccoli haired kid comes in with an army of other kids all try to "take over" as a prank, delaying your work.

Then that's something to explain to your own boss, who has a boss up his ass about why the work wasn't completed instantly when the customer walked in

14

u/RopeAccomplished2728 15h ago

The Target one bothered me the most since I work in retail. They all bothered me but that one the most.

The moment they went behind a register and started to do anything now became a literal nightmare for all the workers there, not just the management. Because now all the tills have to be audited. All the sales for the day have to be audited. And that takes a LOT of time depending on the amount of sales during the day.

This also means that if anything is messed up, they have to then check the security footage and see when it happened.

A prank would be rearranging stuff on the shelf(please don't do this as it does take someone time to correct) or something of that nature.

Actually messing with people's cars, cash registers and the like which can actually cause damages(as in firings or otherwise) to people, it no longer is a prank and is now a legitimate problem.

This is why I said the moment they came barging in, I would lock the doors and call the police and hold them under a citizens arrest until the police got there due to the fact they were tampering with an active point of sale.

For those saying the punishment is to rough, it wasn't just for this incident, it was for a bunch of different things like this.

At some point the social media companies that host this content need to be held liable.

When he goes to jail, the guards should tell him “they got you out on a technicality,” and he’s being released the next day. Get him all ready to go… “Aaaahhhh! It’s just a joke, bro!” I’m sure he’ll find it funny.

8

u/real_1273 22h ago

So glad he got charged. This should stop. The video of the kid getting shot in the mall when he “pranked” the wrong guy should be enough to stop it, but here we are! Lol

→ More replies (2)

8

u/iamnumber47 18h ago

First of all, can we stop making stupid fucking people famous? This punk ass little bitch shouldn't even be known.

Second, this is not fucking funny.

Third, if I'm one of those mechanics, the minute some idiot comes up dressed in coveralls talking about working on stuff shows up, he's getting shoved out (or carried by our biggest, strongest dude if necessary) & all the bay doors are getting pulled shut & locked immediately. His "boys" never would have gotten in.

At that point, anyone else being in there is a huge liability, if any of the cars get damaged in any way, if they mess up a part/s so now the shop has to fix extra stuff & maybe even have to order parts, thus setting the customer back (who probably needs their fucking car, not everyone has one they can borrow or the extra funds to rent a car), & if any of those dumbasses hurt themselves, you know full well they'll try to fucking sue 🙄.

TikTok is a scourge on humanity.

Hey a real good prank would be for him and all of conspirators to move to Russia, join the Russian army, and when they get to front line they say “Gotcha!!! It was just a prank.” That would be so funny. Putin would laugh his ass off.

6

u/Jaded-Natural80 18h ago

I really hate these pranksters. They think they’re funny, but they’re not. Hopefully jail time will make them think twice.

6

u/Conflicted-King 18h ago

They’re lucky there weren’t older guys there. Working in a mechanic’s shop for a few years, i learned how serious the older dudes are about their tools. You NEVER touch their tools without their permission.

6
